Logge

A personal passion project: creating a complete brand identity, interior styling, and marketing strategy for a renovated 1970s A-frame Airbnb on the Oregon coast.

In 2021, my family took a crazy leap and renovated a 1970s A-frame in Oceanside, Oregon for Airbnb. This wasn't just a real estate project—it was an opportunity to apply brand thinking, design strategy, and creative direction to something deeply personal. And an major shoutout to the MVPs of the project—our then five year-old and toddler who were helping every step of the way.

While the renovation was underway, we created a complete brand, decorated the space with our own art, styled every corner with intention, and directed a photoshoot with photographer Carina Skrobecki to market the property. The result was Logge—a coastal retreat with a cohesive visual identity and authentic personality.

The brand.

The logo stays simple and typographic—just our name, set in OZIK, designed by Erik Marinovich for NuForm Type. OZIK is inspired by the lettering on a Black Sabbath album cover with rounded counters, clean-cut terminals, a little bit of retro style built into every letterform. It gave Logge a wordmark with personality that just felt right, without needing much else around it. Once the logo was set, we paired it with a warm, retro-coastal palette.

Styling of the interior.
No seashells, please.

We wanted Logge to stand out. We have nothing against seashells, but we knew we wanted something different. So we searched everywhere, hunting down furniture, art, and objects for the Airbnb that are fun, colorful, and a little unexpected for a coastal retreat. Color, creativity and good vibes are what Logge is all about.

Every detail captured.

The first impression.

No need for paid ads—just consistent posts, honest photos, and good reviews. It’s made us Super Hosts and a Guest Favorite with 228 reviews from happy guests. With the Instagram and Airbnb first impression, people’s experience at the house matches what they saw online.

We take vacation very seriously.

Everything we created for Logge came back to the idea that fun is serious business. From the social media presence to signs and our booklet and even the WIFI password, we really care that the experience is happy and memorable and leaves our guests ready to take on all the challenges of “real” life back home.

From renovation
to brand.

Logge was built together as a family.

The home renovation that became a brand and a business. The name and entire visual identity was dreamed up while the house itself was coming together. During the total interior update and styling, we learned it was the little details that make a stay feel considered and not generic. But the brand we built together as a family (the kids were the MVPs) is what brought this project to life.
